Outline of Annual Research Achievements

Ferguson and Shinall attended a conference in Thailand in January 2023. Derrah also attended a conference in Thailand in February 2023.. Derrah also has contacted Mahidol Univeristy in Thailand and is coordinating with professors there to arrange teacher interviews in Bangkok and in the surrounding areas. THese interviews will include foreign teachers in Thai schools. All three researchers have completed a literature review and finalized interview questions.

2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.

Reason

We are on schedule according to our research plans. Interviews should be completed over the next several months.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

Interviews will be completed by mid-September at the latest. We hope to attend an international conference in the fall to distribute our initial results.

Causes of Carryover

The airfare costs post-COVID are higher than anticipated and we still plan to present our research findings in an international conference due to the nature of our research.
