| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study was to develop a teacher education program that organizes multiple disciplines, including other subjects and integrated studies, in order to implement a concept-based curriculum in home economics education, which combines knowledge and skills with conceptual thinking. As an overall outcome of the study, in order to explore the applicability of the concept-based curriculum in educational practice, lectures were offered to teachers interested in the approach, and regular study sessions were held where teachers and researchers discussed the concept-based curriculum together. Through collaboration with schools, specific lesson plans were proposed, some of which were successfully implemented in classrooms, demonstrating the active progress of this research.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
我が国では,教科の見方・考え方を概念的思考と結びつけて概念型カリキュラムの理論と実践を展開することが期待されているものの,その必要性を認識している教員はほとんどいない。そこで,本研究では,海外のConcept-Based Curriculum and Instruction Trainersを参考に、我が国の学習指導要領に即した日本型概念型カリキュラムの作成とそれを実践的に行うための教師教育モデルを示すことで、概念型カリキュラムの促進を図ることができた。さらに概念型カリキュラムを展開により、家庭科だけでなく他教科や総合学習等を複合的に体系化した教師教育プログラムの構築となった。
