Outline of Final Research Achievements

A three-part Delphi survey was conducted among head nurses regarding support measures that should be implemented in pediatric wards, focusing on “reducing the burden on parents staying with their children” and “protecting children's rights.” As a result, consensus was reached on 14 items related to “reducing the burden of escorting” and 6 items related to “protecting children's rights.”
Additionally, a web-based survey was conducted with 200 mothers who had stayed with their hospitalized children, focusing on reducing the burden of chaperoning. The items that received the most support from the mothers were “easy access to advice,” “free Wi-Fi,” “comfortable beds,” and “time allowed for going out and returning during furlough.”

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
