| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
With a foreign researcher, I conducted research on repeated games by overlapping generations of players (OLG games). In particular, we completely characterized the set of feasible payoffs in OLG games. This set becomes a multidimensional polygon, and when calculating it, instead of checking all possible strategies, all we have to do is to consider the sequences of pure strategies that correspond to the vertices of the set. We also showed that the set expands when either the players' discount factor goes to zero or their lifespan becomes longer. We summarized these results in a paper and submitted it to Journal of Mathematical Economics (peer-reviewed) in February 2024.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
上記の成果により、通常の繰り返しゲームとは異なる、OLGゲームに固有の特性が明らかになった。特に、プレイヤーの割引因子が小さくなるほど、処分可能な利得の集合が拡大するという点は、本研究によって詳細に解析された、これまで知られていなかったOLGゲームの大きな特長である。現実社会を見ても、実在する企業その他の組織において、期間の経過に伴いメンバーが次第に入れ替わる構造になっている状況は、数多く存在する。本研究の成果は、このような組織において、構成員がどれだけ協力して組織全体の利益を高められるか、という点に関して、実用的な知見を提供できる可能性がある。
