Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
The primary aim of this study was to uncover the mechanisms of cold-dwell fatigue in Ti6Al-4V alloys in contrast to pure fatigue, utilizing real-time observations and computational simulations. The specific advancements achieved are as follows: (1) Application of the ASSISL framework to quantify the disparities in strain distribution between pure fatigue and dwell fatigue scenarios. (2) Development of a numerical framework using the CPFEM to predict dwell-fatigue based on experimental results.
