Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The objective of this research is to develop a fiber laser system that can synchronize with synchrotron X-ray pulses and use it to generate terahertz waves. This will enable time-resolved spectroscopy combining X-rays with near-infrared light and X-rays with terahertz waves. The research involved developing a compact, portable ultrashort pulse femtosecond fiber laser system (pulse width 35 fs) and a timing synchronization system with synchrotron radiation. The performance of this system was evaluated following actual synchronization with synchrotron radiation. These results were published in the Journal of Synchrotron Radiation. Additionally, the generation and evaluation of terahertz waves using this system were successful, and the findings will be published soon.
