Outline of Annual Research Achievements

During the current project we developed synthetic droplets prepared using phase separation which are able to freely move following a chemical gradient (published in JACS). Also, by using the same liquid phase separated system we studied the interaction between two non consecutive enzymes involved in the TCA cycle (just accepted, Nat Comm) within the droplets. Another research article is preparation where we studied the effects of the phase separation on the catalytic activity of two enzymes. In this study we have also analyzed the effects of the enzymatic activity on the material properties of the liquid phase separated droplets.
