Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
Our recent research extends previous success in diversification of natural product extracts. We have focused on employing Palladium nanoparticle catalyst for enhanced chemical diversification. These catalyst offers efficient catalysis of C-H bond activation, C-C cleavage, and cross-coupling reactions, facilitating the creation of diverse molecular scaffolds through C-C and/or C-heteroatom bond formations, thus generating new molecular structures. Additionally, we are currently developing highly reactive Rhodium nanoparticle catalyst, which hold promise for further expanding the scope and efficacy of chemical diversification. Our research underscores the potential of nanoparticle catalysts in driving innovative and sustainable approaches, with implications for advancing the exploration and exploitation of natural product diversity for pharmaceutical applications.
