Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
By dissecting formalin-fixed cadavers, the mechanical and morphological properties of the hamstring muscles and aponeuroses have been investigated. 1. Differential effects of formalin fixation on cadaveric muscles and aponeuroses were investigated; 2. Reliability and validity of the myotonometer in cadaveric studies were examined; 3. Morphological distribution characteristics of hamstrings aponeuroses were measured using the myotonometer; 4. The mechanical and morphological properties of semitendinosus were measured.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
The morphology and mechanical properties of the aponeuroses of the hamstrings have been conducted smoothly, and the samples and data were collected according to the schedule of cadaveric research at Aichi Medical University
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
The morphological and mechanical properties of the aponeuroses of the quadriceps muscle will be further studied. In addition, the fiber orientation of the aponeurosis tissue will be further investigated to find the relationship between the aponeurosis and the susceptibility to strain-injury.
