Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
The aim of the project is to assess and project the impact of cold spells on mortality in multiple communities in multiple countries under several climate change scenarios in the future. In 2022, I finished data collection, conducted data analysis, and summarised the findings in a research paper. The paper is under review.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
1: Research has progressed more than it was originally planned.
Reason
I have established a good relationship with the collaborators from previous other projects. Thus, the data collection procedure was smoother than I thought.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
The plan for 2023: (1) To project cold spells -related excess death under climate change scenarios by taking into account the demographic changes in the future; (2) To examine the spatial variation of cold spells-related excess death under climate change; (3) To attend conferences and seminars to present the findings
The plan for 2024 (1) To draft two research papers and to submit to journals; (2) To attend international conferences

Causes of Carryover |
Due to my teaching activities, I had to cancel my trip. The remaining budget will be used to pay the Article Processing Charge in the next fiscal year. In addition, I will use the budget to attend domestic and international conferences and seminars in 2023.
