Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study is to delineate the suitable operational domains for various types of electric drive buses, particularly battery electric buses, plug-in hybrid buses, and fuel cell buses. Initially, the study evaluates the vehicle performance metrics such as vehicle weight, energy efficiency, fuel efficiency and cruising range for each type of electric vehicle. Based on these evaluations, the study maps the suitability regions for each type of electric vehicle with the range on the horizontal axis and the gross vehicle weight on the vertical axis. Subsequently, the environmental harmony, including the low-carbon effect is assessed. Based on the insights gained from these analyses, the study aims to determine the suitable operational domains for each type of electric drive bus, considering their introduction into real-world applications.

本研究は単一の電動車両に対する研究に留まらず、各種電動車両の走行・環境性能を総合的に評価できる研究であるため、政府の技術ロードマップの策定、自動車メーカーの技術開発、自治体やバス業者に電動車両を導入する際に根拠となるものになる。さらに、構築した方法論はバス以外の車種(例えばトラック等)でも応用できると考えている。
