Outline of Annual Research Achievements

The purpose of this work was to develop a more in-depth understanding of the integrated relationship between interoceptive and exteroceptive signals.
An initial focus of this work was the development of an experimental platforms combining virtual reality and robotics to study body ownership illusions. During differing stages of development, two experiments were collected and disseminated at national and international conferences.
The first conducted study investigated illusions of body ownership and the delusion of control while embodying a humanoid robot. The second conducted study further investigated the role of interoceptive signals on motor inference during humanoid robot embodied experiences.
