| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This research reinterpreted the combination of "mobile employment and residence," which was brought to light during the COVID-19 pandemic, as a new form of safety net (SF), and clarified its actual conditions and significance. Focusing on seasonal workers in primary industries, dispatch workers living in company dormitories, workers in nightlife and entertainment districts, and foreign laborers, the study investigated the connections between employment, housing, and support systems. It examined the interplay between institutional safety nets and non-institutional, self-organized forms of support. Through collaboration with related support organizations, the research classified support practices using time studies and organized support records into a database mainly Vietnamese cases. In addition, in cooperation with sending organizations in Indonesia, interviews were conducted with prospective migrants to understand their career aspirations and expectations for working and life in Japan.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
