| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This is a collaborative research project between researchers in the humanities and social sciences, with a focus on sociologists and labor economists, engaged in workplace studies, and researchers in information engineering and medical informatics involved in remotely collaborated work. This research focused on (1) social scientific research on work in distributed environments in the workplace, (2) health care for the elderly by medical informatics researchers and sociologists, and (3) remote shopping assistance by sociologists and engineers. Issues of confidentiality and openness centered on medical and care were also examined in a symposium held with researchers in Singapore.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
新型コロナの流行の影響を受けて、会社でのリモートワークやオフィスなど分散的環境での共同作業や会議の重要性が社会的に高まった。また、医療や高齢者ケアの遠隔支援やメタバースによる支援の社会的意義も高まっている。本研究では、さまざまなオフィスでの分散的環境のマネジメントや、高齢者の服薬指導に対するメタバースを用いた支援の研究を行った。また、遠隔医療や遠隔ケアの開放性と秘匿性の問題を中心に、国際シンポジウムを行い、国家間での文化的違いや制度的違いに関する議論を行った。遠隔共同作業の学術的・社会的意義が高まる中、こうしたフィールドでの研究や国際的な比較の意義は大きいと思われる。
