Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study aimed to develop a social participation program that addresses the needs of working-age men who do not seek support. An online survey (n=1,000) was conducted to analyze the social participation needs of working-age men. The results showed that only 9.6% of working-aged men (n=750) currently participated in social activities, 12.8% had participated in the past, and 77.6% had never participated. Those who had never participated in social activities were 1.6 times more likely to have poor mental health compared to those who currently or previously participated. The main activities of those currently participating were "health/sports" 43.1% and "hobbies" 38.9%. The main reasons for participation were "enjoying the activities" 51.4% and "being recommended or invited by others" 29.2%. Among those who had never participated, 17.9% expressed interest in participating, with "health/sports" 60.6%, "community events" 24.0%, and "hobbies" 23.1% being the most popular interests.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
