Outline of Final Research Achievements

I conducted the task and discovered the following.
Firstly, cultural conservatism, cultural radicalism, and liberalism in 20th century China all shared common interests and intellectual origins, each embodying the characteristics of the era in their own ways. In other words, they can be seen as three distinct orientations striving for the same "modernization." From this perspective, Xiong Shili's philosophical thought cannot be divorced from Western modern thought and should not be solely regarded as a yearning for traditional Chinese thought.
Furthermore, the exploration of Western philosophy in Xiong Juri's philosophy serves as a significant foundation for constructing epistemology and ontology; therefore, the text was analyzed with an emphasis on discussions of Western philosophy.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

この研究成果はまず、熊十力の『新唯識論（語体文本）』の「成物」章を解釈しました。この章は熊十力の哲学の発展を示したものであるにもかかわらず、十分に研究されていません。従って、文献の解釈は従来の空白を埋めると同時、熊十力の哲学理論を解明することにも寄与できます。
そして、熊十力の哲学を二〇世紀の中国啓蒙思潮に置いて考えるとき、ベルクソンの哲学やカントの哲学などのような西欧の哲学は非常に重要な位置を占めていることはわかってきます。というのも、これらの理論は東アジアの伝統文脈にある自発的な近代的思惟の形成にも関連しているからです。この現象は哲学の普遍性問題を議論するさいに極めて重要なモデルとなります。
