Outline of Final Research Achievements

This study focuses on the rise of metaphysical poetry that emerged in history of literature between the Western and Eastern Jin periods, and attempts to connect it to the context of the history of "metaphysics" thought that flourished during the Wei-Jin alternation period. This study specifically addressed the following three points and published the results of the study. （1）The production of metaphysical poems by He Shao and his interpretation of metaphysics, (2) Differences in interpretations by Wang Bi and Han Kangbai in the history of the annotations of the Zhouyi, and (3) Metaphysical Poetry by Yu Chan and the Interpretation of the Zhuangzi and the Zhouyi. This research clarified the brackish waters between the history of philosophy and the history of literature in the Wei-Jin period, which have not necessarily been closely connected in the past, and presented a part of the perspective for comprehensively grasping the two by smoothly soporating them.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究の遂行は、魏晋時代を対象として、当時の形而上学の諸相を主対象とするものであり、のみならず西晋期から東晋期にかけて文学史上に出現した「玄言詩」の思想史的背景を明らかにするという意義をもつ。ゆえにその成果は、中国哲学、中国文学の複数の領野に貢献するものであるといえる。
