Outline of Final Research Achievements

This study elucidated how Spanish appellative expressions function depending on their position and their relation to the original lexical meaning of each form. At the beginning of an utterance, where information is about to be conveyed, appellative expressions function to attract the listener's attention. However, the way they do so varies depending on the lexical meaning of each form. At the end of an utterance, which is the position where information is handed over to the listener, many of the lexical meanings become more prominent compared to the beginning of the utterance, reflecting how the speaker intends to convey the information.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

先行研究では位置による機能についての言及が少なく、特に発話末の機能は強調や和らげといった抽象的な記述しかなかった。本研究は、スペイン語の間投詞を日本語の終助詞「ね」「よ」との対照することによって得られたスペイン語の情報伝達時における特徴をもとにしたこと、非母語話者がスペイン語で円滑なコミュニケーションを実施するための呼びかけ表現習得を目的としたことにより、スペイン語母語話者による抽象的な解説を、呼びかけ表現が使用される位置と語彙的意味による機能から再定義した。本研究の呼びかけ表現の語用論的機能の体系化に寄与にとどまらず、今後の日本人のスペイン語教育にも有用だと考える。
