Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Non-ideal theories in political philosophy examine how injustices such as inequality and oppression in a real situations should be corrected. This study investigated what contributions sociology can make to the construction of non-ideal theories. As a result of the investigation, it was concluded that sociology, as a discipline that observes society from within, is required not so much to evaluate the effectiveness of various policy interventions aimed at alleviating injustice, as to analyze and evaluate the processes through which injustice is reproduced, including various unintended consequences inherent in them. Furthermore, it was concluded that there is a need to analyze how the injustices identified by non-ideal theories are accomplished by people in everyday interactions.
