Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This Empirical case study focused on a methodology of remote sport coaching for special needs school students in sparsely populated areas with ICT devices. In the first year, a pilot study was conducted in which athletics javelin throwing activities at a special needs school located in the mountainous areas of Hiroshima Prefecture were remotely coached by paralympic sports experts residing in Tokyo. The second year involved remote coaching for students with intellectual disabilities who were engaged in javelin throwing, under the coaching of university students (javelin throwers) affiliated with the athletic team of an educational university. These implementations illustrated a methodology for remote sport activities and explored the potential for generalization of this approach.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
