Outline of Final Research Achievements |
First, several units of lessons for geography were developed and practiced in high schools. The students themselves created their own “questions” that they wanted to pursue throughout the unit or the students themselves create some of the questions for the periodic examinations, and an attempt was made to shift the authority regarding the learning aims and learning assessment. Second, interview transcripts were collected from students who participated in "Development of curriculum for co-creation of geography learning by students and teacher." Case studies showed what students think about the gradual transition of authority over learning aims, content, methods, and assessment, which has traditionally been monopolized by teachers.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
