Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study examines practical issues in the development of an adaptive version of a multiple-choice psychological measurement using response time data. Specifically, the study analyzes the impact of context effects and order effects on the assumed "invariance of the utility of choice options" in the Thurstonian IRT model, as well as the influence of different response methods on model parameters, using both existing and newly collected data. The evaluation, conducted through Bayesian statistical modeling, reveals that while context and order effects are not completely zero, their practical impact is limited, requiring only slight attention when implementing adaptive measurements. Additionally, the results suggest that the influence of different response methods on the estimation outcomes is likely minimal.
