Outline of Final Research Achievements

This research project conducted two longitudinal surveys and reported the findings as follows. First, regardless of their level of sensitivity, the more time adolescents spend engaging in nature experiential activities per month, the more likely they are to improve their ability to recognize and regulate the emotions of others and their own well-being. Second, in two-day/one-night nature experiential activities, more experience in conveying one’s thoughts to others was associated with better mental health in adolescents with higher than moderate sensitivity levels. Additionally, more experience in challenging and accomplishing tasks was associated with better mental health, regardless of the level of sensitivity.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
