Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
Since last year, the time-domain FWI program has been running successfully. Following a visit to collaborators in Grenoble Alpes University , I conducted continuous testing of various parameters and employed different strategies. These included, but were not limited to, evaluating uncertainties in observed data (relying on signal-to-noise ratio), refining starting velocity models, and analyzing source signatures. Diverse outcomes were obtained from different inputs and inversion parameters. To identify the optimal approach, I meticulously compared and analyzed the various results, correlating them with seismic reflection data for comprehensive analysis.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
Despite encountering numerous challenges during the data inversion process using advanced FWI, I successfully overcame these obstacles through extensive testing and international communication. I have now obtained a preferred result, and the remaining tasks will primarily involve interpretation and paper writing.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
For the interpretation of my results, I plan to engage in discussions with various geologists, geophysicists, and other interdisciplinary experts. This collaborative effort may necessitate additional tests on the results and allocate computational resources for further analysis. Additionally, I understand the importance of thoroughly reviewing and comprehending recent references pertinent to my research. With these steps in place, I anticipate a smooth progression in my work.
|
Causes of Carryover |
Because during year 2023, more advanced results were achieved after international communications. So I plan to present the results in some coming international conferences, such as participation of JPGU2024; participation of SEISMIX2024. I will also write papers to publish the results, so need money for English editing and publication fee, etc.
