Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this study, we investigated the theranostic (detective and therapeutic) effects of HL-containing indocyanine green on colorectal, esophageal, and breast cancer. In addition, the application of photodynamic therapy (PDT) with HL/ICG was examined. Fusion and accumulation of HL/ICG into esophageal cancer (TE-4) cells and breast cancer (4T1-Luc) cells were observed using a fluorescence microscope. Remarkable inhibition of the enlargement was obtained in the model mice treated with PDT after intravenous administration of HL/ICG based on tumor weight.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
