Outline of Final Research Achievements |
A method for detecting proteins derived from aquatic organisms contained in the water of paddy areas (paddy fields, agricultural canals, reservoirs etc.) were investigated. The presence or absence of reactions between several species of aquatic organisms and immunochromatographic kits for fish and crustaceans were clarified, and it is demonstrated that the detection kits are possible to detect up to about 10 ppm by testing at different dilution ratios. In addition, it is demonstrated that antibodies produced based on marine mussel larvae can detect golden mussels (Limnoperna fortune) using the dot blot method and whole-mount immunostaining method, and a prototype immunochromatographic detection kit capable of detecting the golden mussels was developed.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
特定外来生物に指定されるカワヒバリガイの早期検出に向けて、本成果は、現地で簡易に検出できる方法として応用が期待される。これに向けて、感度の向上や種特異性の検討、サンプリング方法の最適化などが更なる課題として挙げられる。 魚類検出キットおよび甲殻類検出キットは、水田水域で採食する高次捕食者(トキやコウノトリ、サギ類等)の餌資源の指標として活用しうると考えられる。
