Outline of Final Research Achievements

This study aims to elucidate the causes of Hirschsprung's disease and develop new treatments. We collected tissue samples from both healthy and diseased parts of intestines removed during surgery and removed the cells through a special chemical process (decellularization). This process effectively removed DNA while preserving the intestinal extracellular matrix (ECM). We are using this ECM as a platform for stem cell culture, with the potential to contribute to future studies of neural stem cells and the development of new treatments.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
