Outline of Final Research Achievements

TThis study determined the molecular mechanisms involved with using cultured media from adipose-derived stem cells (CM-ADSCs) for corneal epithelial cell wound healing compared to platelet-rich plasma (PRP).CM-ADSCs may promote wound healing of human corneal epithelial cells via increased cell proliferation and DNA metabolic process.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

脂肪組織由来間葉系幹細胞順化培養液 (CM-ADSCs)と多血小板血漿における生理活性物質の含有量を比較し、培養正常ヒト角膜上皮細胞創傷モデルを用いてCM-ADSCsの角膜上皮創傷治癒促進機構を探索した。CM-ADSCsは、高濃度のEGF含有による細胞増殖の促進と炎症抑制により、角膜上皮細胞創傷治癒を促進する可能性が示唆された。本研究からCM-ADSCsが難治性角結膜上皮障害に対して有用である可能性が示唆された。
