Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Ameloblast, which are involved in enamel formation, are known to undergo morphological changes and acquire function during their differentiation process. Since ameloblast secrete enamel matrix in one direction after differentiation, it is thought that the polarization process is important. Previous studies have shown that the p130Cas is important for the polarization of ameloblast. However, the detailed molecular function is unknown. In this study, a p130Cas knockout cell line is constructed and attempted to elucidate the molecular mechanism by observing polarization in an in vitro.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
