Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
I use factor analysis as the primary analytical method for my research. Factor analysis is a statistical method used to analyze data from multiple variables to identify underlying factors or latent variables that explain the patterns in the data. On the basis of the results of previous year, I pick key economic indicators such as CPI, PPI, FDI, etc., as indices for Chinese economy. Results indicate that the most significant impact of fluctuations in the Sino-US exchange rate is on foreign direct investment (FDI), followed by the influence of currency, while the impact of inflation rates and producer price indices is minimal. This finding has certain implications for us in formulating financial and monetary policies. I plan to summarize and publish the results in an academic journal soon.
