Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
The research focused on aspects related to theory and phenomenology and non-singular black holes and the information loss paradox. Regarding non-singular black holes, Dr. Di Filippo have obtained a constrain regarding the possible presence of a surface for ultracompact objects mimicking supermassive black holes based on the absence of an outgoing thermal flux of radiation. He has also established a connection between regular black holes and ultracompact stars. Finally, he has discussed some aspect concerning the stability of regular black holes. Regarding the information paradox, the research focused on the introduction of a new techniques to study the quantum states of Hawking radiation. This should be regarded as a first step toward understanding the connection between soft hair and the information paradox. Finally, Dr. Di Filippo contributed to a book on regular black holes by co-writing a chapter.
