Outline of Annual Research Achievements

In the 5 months of Fiscal Year 2022, we started with the preparations for the project. We started investigating possible implementations of the proposed idea, but could not test them thoroughly yet.
We have prepared the setup for performing our simulations of general-relativistic hydrodynamics for binary neutron star mergers. In particular, we have been checking the correctness and accuracy of the tabulated equations of state and of the codes to read them in our main code for binary evolution.
The fellow is becoming familiar with the complex codes we use, has been granted access to two supercomputer facilities, has familiarized with them, and has prepared the computational environment on them.

Current Status of Research Progress
Current Status of Research Progress

3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.

Reason

We tested the correctness and accuracy of the code, also comparing with previous results. We are now ready to start production simulations for the study on neutron-star equations of state through gravitational wave-observations.
However, we we have just started, and not completed, a study on numerical implementations for estimations of the energy-momentum deposition rate by neutrino pair annihilation.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

The plans for the research scheme will be shifted of a few months. We will first concentrate on the part of the project involving quark-hadron crossover equations of state and leave the part on neutrinos for later. This would ensure that we produce publications in a shorter time.
