Outline of Annual Research Achievements

A complete literature review was completed, the traditional shear theoretical calculation model was revised, and an attempt was made to verify the object column of this study. The shear strength carried by concrete Vc degrades along with the development of shear cracks, therefore, the structures designed following the nominal shear strength possibly failed in immature shear. Due to larger deformability, the RC column with LBHSRs had a bigger probability of shear failure at the large deformation stage compared to the normal RC columns.Although many researchers studied the degraded model of shear strength of normal RC columns, the focus of the study is to consider the steel-bond slip of longitudinal rebars. As we reported in previous studies, the relationship between shear stress at flexural crack section and bond strength of longitudinal reinforcement is built and shear stress was considered linearly proportional to the bond strength, implying that the shear behavior is influenced by the bond strength of the rebars.

Current Status of Research Progress
Current Status of Research Progress

3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.

Reason

The production of the experimental samples (columns) has also been completed and will be loaded next month.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

This research project will end in November 30. Before that, all the focus of the laboratory is to carry out this research. It is expected that the experimental part will be completed in July, and all theoretical analysis and research background have been completed. Data analysis and supplement to the paper will be completed in August. Therefore, one paper will be submitted in early September. The second paper will be submitted in early November to show the results of finite element analysis.
