Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
In the first (half) year, the following new results have been achieved.
1. Safe control: A new learning-based symbolic abstraction method has been developed for safe control of continuous-time systems.
2. Resource efficient control: A novel method called risk-aware maximum hands-off control has been developed for efficient control of stochastic systems to minimize risks of entering unsafe regions. In addition, surveys on sparse control and distributed control of continuous-time systems are conducted.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
In the first (half) year (2022.10-2023.03), we have achieved 5 journal paper publications, 1 conference proceeding paper, and 1 book publication. In addition, we have actively contacted our collaborators in oversea universities, and thereby we have made travel plans in 2024 to visit oversea universities to directly conduct research collaborations with our hosts.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
We are going to develop new methods for safe control (Co-PI Hashimoto and PI), for privacy-aware control (Co-PI Pruekprasert, Co-PI Kawano, and PI), and resource efficient control (Co-PI Hashimoto and Co-PI Nagahara). These research activities will be done in direct collaborations with our oversea hosts, by visiting them in person as well as online. We have already scheduled several visits to our host institutions in 2024.
|
Causes of Carryover |
The remaining amount will be used for international travels in the next fiscal year.
