| Research Abstract |
The social structure of school curriculum in Japan since 1958 has been highly regulated by the national government. The contents of the school curriculum have been discipline based and controlled by the academism and higher education. So in this structure school curriculum has been designed for educating the professional academician and doesn't have social relevance.
In our research project we are inquiring the way to change this social structure of curriculum by curriculum innovation. Our vision of the innovated new curriculum is a kind of curriculum which has social relevance between school and society. In this new innovated structure school curriculum is designed for educating the mature and active citizen. The organization of our project consists of 4 units. In each units there are 4 or 5 researchers belonging to our research project.
