| Research Abstract |
2013年の夏季にはチャンバー法，渦相関法，REA法によるメタン（CH4)フラックスの集中観測を実施し，手法間の相互比較と総合的解析を行った。不規則に強い発生源のある湿地や湖沼などでのフラックス測定では，乾燥空気ベースで濃度測定することがフラックス評価精度を高める上で重要であることを見いだした。北方林のタソックツンドラなど放出源と吸収源が入り交じった観測サイトでは，フラックス自体が微量であるが，風向毎のデータ仕分けや統計的な欠測データ補完などを施すことにより，微気象学的手法によって生態系レベルのフラックスを高精度で評価できることを確かめた。
生育期間を通じたチャンバー測定と微気象学的CH4フラックス観測の総合解析から，凍土地帯の森林では年間収支ではCH4の弱い吸収であるが，凍土融解直後や多量の降雨の後にはCH4が放出されることを確認した。タソックツンドラ特有の微地形である窪みや水たまりでは継続的にCH4が発生したが，コケに覆われた大部分の林床は，CH4の吸収源となっていた。これらの局所的なCH4発生源では，土壌，植生，地下水位等の条件が季節的に変化しCH4フラックスレベルも大きく変化した。観測の継続によりデータ蓄積が進むとともに，フラックスレベル及びその季節変化は明らかになりつつあるが，環境条件との関係などプロセスモデルのパラメータ確定やフラックスの広域評価には未だに不確定性が多く残された。
衛星モデルの広域化では，support vector regression解析を衛星データとタワー観測データに適用し，従来のプロセスモデルより妥当な精度で広域的なCO2 収支を評価できた。本手法をCH4 フラックスへ適用することで広域評価可能である事を確かめた。CH4収支モデルVISITを改良し結果を学術誌に発表したが，広域評価において観測データの不足により不確実性が多く残された。
