重力マイクロレンズによる地球質量系外惑星、浮遊惑星の探索

Research Abstract

本研究は、我々Microlensing Observations in Astrophysics （MOA）グループが行っている重力マイクロレンズによる系外惑星探査を3 年間継続する事によって、約１８００個のマイクロレンズイベントを発見し、世界中にアラートを発した。それらのイベントの中で、2011,12,13年にそれぞれ、５個、６個、９個、合計２０個の系外惑星を発見し、当初期待していた（惑星１８個）以上の成果をあげた。その内の一つ、MOA-2011-BLG-262Lbは、地球質量以下の惑星である可能性が高く、今後の追観測が待たれる。また、MOA-2011-BLG-293Lbは、マイクロレンズでは初めて、ハビタブルゾーンにある惑星の発見である。さらに、OGLE-2012-BLG-0358Lは、褐色矮星周りを廻る２倍木星質量の惑星で、これにより褐色矮星の周りでも惑星が形成可能である事が分かった。これら発見された系外惑星を用い、さらに我々の観測の検出効率をシミュレーションで見積もる事で、スノーラインの外側での系外惑星の質量分布、存在量を見積もった。その結果、スノーラインの外側では内側より惑星頻度は数倍多い事が分かった。主星を伴わない浮遊惑星候補も十数個発見し、詳細解析の後に結果をまとめる。
