Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We have developed new high-pressure synthesis system and established a technology to decide conditions rapidly for sample synthesis or growth of single crystal under high pressure. The system made it possible to research new materials efficiently. By using the technology, we have succeeded in synthesizing several compounds (layered rare-earth phosphide and filled skutterudite phosphide) including new materials. Furthermore, new filled skutterudite compounds BaOs4P12, CaOs4P12 and SrOs4P12 are new superconductors.
