Research Abstract

本研究は、表面を化学修飾したシリカナノ粒子と有機半導体からなる有機・無機ハイブリッドにおいて新規な機能性を発現させ、その発現メカニズムを明らかにする。さらに、見出した機能性を用いた薄膜トランジスタ、太陽電池などのフレキシブルかつプリンタブルなデバイスを構成し、従来の有機デバイスと比較して、革新的に製造プロセスが簡単になり、デバイス特性が向上することの実証を目的とする。本年度は、昨年度に引き続き、極めて高い正孔電界効果移動度を有することで知られているdioctylbenzothieno[3,2-b]benzothiophene (C8-BTBT)を対象とし、電界効果移動度などの電子物性を評価した。電界効果トランジスタの動作安定性(閾値電圧ばらつき±1 V以内を達成)、および、ソース・ドレイン埋め込み電極構造作製プロセスを最適化することで低駆動電圧化を実現してきた。今年度は高移動度化についても注力し、多結晶トランジスタでは最高水準の6 cm^2/Vsを超える電界効果移動度を実現した。さらに、化学修飾したシリカナノ粒子に添加したpoly(3-hexylthiophene)(P3HT)においては、移動度の向上を見出した。 インピーダンス分光により界面状態密度を評価し、トランジスタ特性との関連を明らかにした。
バルクヘテロ接合太陽電池の開発のため、太陽電池作製プロセスを最適化してきた。昨年度、電力変換効率7.4%を達成したはPTB7、PC71BM太陽電池においてインピーダンス分光で、電子、正孔移動度を評価した。電子、正孔の移動度比が1に近づくほど効率が上がることを見出した(この結果はデバイスシミュレーションと矛盾しない)。さらに、この太陽電池の劣化解析を行い、劣化にともない移動度比が低下することを見出した。また、他の高効率ポリマーにおいても同様な傾向を見出した。
