Research Abstract

平成25年度は、運動器障害予防のために設立された大規模住民コホート研究Research on Osteoarthritis/osteoporosis Against Disability(ROAD)において3ヶ所の地域コホート(都市部、山村部、漁村部コホート)のうち、平成23、24年度に引き続き、7年目を迎える漁村コホートの第3回調査（2回目の追跡調査）を行った。本調査では、ベースライン調査に参加した漁村住民826人に第3回調査の内容を通知し、文書によるinformed consentを得られた検診参加希望者に問診票調査、栄養調査、整形外科専門医の診察、身体測定、握力測定、開眼片足立ち検査、いす立ち上がり検査、普通歩行時間測定、膝立位前後像、脊椎前後像、骨盤正面像のX線撮影、認知機能検査を行った。加えて、希望者には頭部および脊柱のMRI検査を実施した。検診は順調に推移し、漁村コホートでの第3回調査は無事終了した。その後、ROAD全体としての解析を行うために、各コホートの結果の確認、及び入力作業を実施した。
Ｘ線自動読影プログラムの開発も順調に進み、すでに完成した膝Ｘ線自動読影プログラムに加えて股関節、腰椎の読影プログラム作成が進展したため、第3回調査からＸ線フィルム読影に使用することにした。これによりＸ線フィルムから骨粗鬆症や変形性関節症の観的指標を迅速に得るとともに、測定者間誤差を考慮に入れることなく診断結果の直接比較が可能となった。この読影システムを用いて英国、香港の高齢者のＸ線フィルムの読影も進行中である。
ゲノムワイド関連解析として、ベースライン調査時に informed consentを得た対象者から採取したゲノム探索用血液サンプルを用いた一塩基多型 (SNP)を用いた3段階のゲノムワイド関連解析も実施中である。
