Outline of Annual Research Achievements

・カナダのアサバスカ観測点において、平成24年9月に開始した100kHzの高時間分解能のVLF/ELF波動観測は、平成26年度も維持・継続した。これにより、すでに2年半以上のVLF波動の高時間分解能同時観測のデータが得られた。これらのデータの解析を開始し、VLF/ELF波動の季節変化・磁気地方時変化などの特性の初期結果が得られている。
・アサバスカ観測点で以前から継続している高感度単色全天カメラ、プロトンフォトメータ、誘導磁力計の自動定常観測は、平成26年度も維持・継続し、得られたデータはWebページで公開した。
・100Hzサンプルの全天EMCCDカメラを平成26年12月にアサバスカに設置し、オーロラの高時間分解能の定常観測を開始した。
・これらの観測から、平成26年度は特に、サブオーロラ帯からオーロラ帯にかけてオーロラ構造が指状に発達してばらばらになる過程を見出し、オーロラの半数を占めるパッチ状オーロラの成因の一つとして明らかにした。また、ELF/VLF帯のコーラス波動のサブオーロラ帯における特性や、多地点観測によるULF帯のPc1地磁気脈動の振幅変調の成因の研究などの成果を挙げている。これらの成果を論文として出版すると共に、国内外の学会や研究会で発表し、さらなる共同研究を推進した。
