Outline of Final Research Achievements

We have studied methods for querying a large-scale database to find and select some clues or to grasp trends and tendencies. Among them, we have intensively studied “skyline query”, which is one of popular queries used in an early stage of database analysis. We have developed an efficient and secure distributed algorithm for computing “skyline query” that works in MapReduce framework. There are some related works that can compute a skyline query in MapReduce framework. Different from others, ours is designed so that privacy information in a database are preserved.
