The goal of this study is to verify that the Fast Plants, known as a variety of Cruciferae(Brassica rapa) with extremely short life cycle, is an effective teaching material for science classes of elemenntary school and junior high school. In two science classes of the 5th grade of an elementary school, students carried out seeding, cultivating and gathering the seeds of the Fast Plants. Almost every students could treat and observe the plant through its life cycle easily within a scheduled period, indicatiing that the Fast Plants is an effective teaching material for the science class of elementary school.
