Research Abstract |
High school students who are interested in astronomy have little opportunity to study astronomy in depth because earth science courses of which astronomy is categorized as a part are little taken in high school. We have developed self-directed learning materials for modern astronomy to improve such conditions. Students could learn astronomical data analysis experimentally for various astronomical objects such as stars, star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies using our materials. These materials are opened on the web and anyone can access them anytime and anywhere. Our materials will provide high school students more opportunities for experiencing astronomical data analysis.
