This study has clarified three things. (1)Hogarth's relationship with "deism" testifies to his reliance to the freedom of expression. (2)Hogarth's relation to freemasonry is elucidated by his engravings. (3)Hogarth's pornography is divided into two: lecherous clergyman and lecherous couple.
