As a result of this study on eighteenth-century African-British writers and trans-Atrantic English literature, papers on the following topics were published: (1) first Japanese edition of Olaudah Equiano's The Interesting Narrative with detailed commentary; (2) sentimental pattern in series of "Inkle and Yarico" episodes.
