| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
Of the audio-recordings of interactions and interviews (made at an international training programme for trainees from various Asian countries, run by a Japanese NGO), about 30% were transcribed, and analysis carried out on about 20% of the total. This analysis consisted of word and n-gram (multi-word combinations) frequency, as well as manual coding of conversation-analytic categories.
The preliminary results have been presented at the 3rd and 4th Waseda ELF International Workshops, and further results will be presented at the 8th International conference on English as a Lingua Franca to be held in Beijing in August 2015. An article to be submitted to the Journal of English as a Lingua Franca (ISSN: 2191-933X) is being prepared - expected completion in September 2015.
録音した対話やインタビューデータの３０％は転写済み・２０％は分析が終わった。また２０１４年も、予備的の結果を第四早稲田ELF国際ワークショップで発表して、全体を８月に北京で「8th International Conference of English as a Lingua Franca」で発表し、「Journal of English as a Lingua Franca」 (ISSN: 2191-933X)に提出する論文は作成中。
