Outline of Final Research Achievements |
I formulate students' college choice decision as a discrete choice model which maximize their expected utilities on enrolling in the college. Because of their utilities depending on the college's characteristics (the quality of education, the admission system, etc), the discrete choice model explains how the college's characteristics effect on the application decision of students. I analyze college choice behavior in Japan by the model, then I investigate how students evaluate colleges.
