Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Since 2007, this study has conducted eight waves questionnaire surveys to Japanese manufactures on R&D and new product development. Through trend test, we found that among 247 items, 50 items statistically significantly changed for R&D survey. For new product development survey, 28 items among 250 items had significant trend. They indicate that although over seas R&D is getting effective, Japanese manufactures facing difficulties in R&D and NPD, such as (1) slow down of development speed, (2) loss of technological competency, and (3) weakened collaboration with user.
