Outline of Final Research Achievements

This study first reveals details of the construction plan for a nuclear fuel reprocessing plant in the late 1970's, which is the former plan of the Rokkasho Reprocessing Plant in Aomori Prefecture.
On the other hand, this study explains how the residents took action against it. This residents' resistance to the plan had significant effects on their region and the history of Japan’s Nuclear Fuel Cycle Policy. And details of these are revealed in this study.
